History

Like the Grande Maison, the rustic Grange, a former barn, comprises a robust central building in which guests can feel snug and secure.

Its thick, castle-like walls imbue it with a sense of sheltered tranquillity, whilst the lofty ceiling in the Grand Hall conjures up a poignant ambience in the evening hours. The walls, windows and beams have been conserved or upgraded with all due respect to historical circumstances and materials.

Guest Accommodation and Facilities

The Grange was reconstructed in several stages, and the redevelopment works were completed in 2017. The entire building, which tops out at nine metres, is now available for the use of guests, and can accommodate up to 17 people. Whenever the weather chooses not to cooperate, dinner is served in the Grand Hall, where guests can warm themselves by the snug open fireplace – unadulterated cosiness! A simple, but effective system circulates the heated air throughout the room. The professionally-equipped kitchen, just the other side of a set of swinging doors, beckons the intrepid self-caterer.
